One aspect is not to be considered better than the other. Each aspect of development is required and there is a kind of paradoxical relationship between these two facets of personal and spiritual development. Paradoxically speaking the number one energy is spiritual but the expansion in spirituality takes place within a well developed sense of the individual.</p>
<p>The simplest way that I have discovered to describe these two distinct aspects of personal and spiritual growth is through the system I refer to as the Way of the Chakra&#8217;s. This is a universal map of personal and spiritual development. In this map there are shown to be seven main Chakras or energy centers.</p>

<li>The Root Chakra.</li>
<li>The Sacral Chakra.</li>
<li>The Solar Plexus Chakra.</li>
<li>The Heart Chakra.</li>
<li>The Throat Chakra.</li>
<li>The Brow Chakra.</li>
<li>The Crown Chakra.</li>
</ol>
<p>Generally speaking the first of the above three Chakra&#8217;s are involved with the development of an integrated persona. This integration involves the work of becoming grounded in the body. It integration involves the reconciliation of emotional opposition within and the power to use the person&#8217;s will in the service of the ego. This is that aspect of the work of personal development focused in building clear ego limits. This is so that in the second part of the Way of the Chakra&#8217;s the individual can invite the Divine will to move and, more and more, inform the individual&#8217;s life direction and purpose.</p>

The ego self then becomes not the enemy. The ego becomes an alliance of the will with the willingness to become all that Creation created the particular person to be. There isn&#8217;t a sense that the ego is something that must be got rid off. We see the absence of clear ego boundaries within person&#8217;s who have significant psychological illness.</p>
<p>There can be a problem with the ego only when the individual over identifies with this aspect of who they believe they are. In such a situation the focus on their individual self can become a form of addiction. Then the work of individual expansion can in a number of ways become a compulsion rather than a growth experience into higher stages of spiritual development.</p>
<p>Personal growth moves into spiritual growth when the individual moves deeper and deeper into a process, not of accomplishment, but of surrender. The higher stages of spiritual development are stages of deepening into trust and surrender to a process that expands the ego into infinity. This process is said to be where the dewdrop merges with the ocean. I like to think it is where the Ocean of Oneness merges with the dewdrop of individuality. That seems much more magical, mysterious and miraculous.</p>

<p><strong>Firstly.</strong> You are perfect the way you are. Hold that thought. If you think any differently then write down why you think something different.</p>
<p><strong>Anyone who</strong> tells you that you are anything less than great or wonderful, you should question yourself as to why you have them around you and in your life. You have choice about who you have around you. Choosing to have only worthwhile people is a great choice to make. If people are getting you down and being in any way abusive, cut them loose. Set them adrift from your shores, only to return if they can prove themselves worthy.</p>
<p><strong>There are</strong> plenty of good people in the world who will gladly know you and treat you with respect. Treat yourself kindly and with respect and get friends and co-workers that do the same.</p>
<p><strong>You have</strong> many reasons to do so. When people around you value you, then you will value yourself too. Though often this has to start from within.</p>
<p><strong>You must value yourself first before others will value you properly.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Your self esteem is at the root here.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Take a moment</strong> now, and think about your own self esteem. How is it? How greatly do you value yourself? As much as you could? As much as you should? Likely there is at least one of those questions which had a negative answer. Getting them all into positive answers brings you a wonderful way of living.</p>
<p><span><strong>Truly loving <em>yourself</em> and valuing <em>yourself</em> is a good thing.</strong></span></p>
<p><strong>When you do</strong> you open many doors for yourself. You open up new dimensions to your life and give it greater depth. Loving yourself and valuing yourself enables you to enjoy your life properly.</p>
<p><strong>So think now, can you improve your self-esteem?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Imagine your self-esteem</strong> as high as it could possibly be. Imagine how wonderful your life is like that. Imagine how wonderful all your relationships are as a result, and how fulfilled you feel. All you have to do is take action and it will happen.</p>
<p><strong>More over as you</strong> improve your self-esteem your relationships with people around you will change. Some will naturally come to an end, others improve. All of this for the better. The relationships that close off are ones that held you back anyway. Closing them off opens up space for more wonderful things and people to come into your life.</p>
<p><strong>So how wonderful do you want your life to be?</strong></p>
<p><span><strong>Because it can be as wonderful as you dream it to be.</strong></span></p>
<p><strong>All you have to do</strong> is start making changes. Value your self. Think about who is good for you, and who you would be better off setting adrift from you.</p>
<p><strong>Once you have</strong> started this process the next part is to head into your <a href="http://www.mastermeditation.com/meditation/your-meditation-environment/" target="_blank"  title="meditation space" target="_blank">meditation space</a>. Light incense if you like. Then get comfortable, and begin <a href="http://www.mastermeditation.com/meditation/master-meditation-techniques-ha-breathing/" target="_blank"  title="Ha breathing" target="_blank">Ha breathing</a>. Build up energy to help you release the old things that bound you. Once you have done so then begin the process of <a href="http://www.mastermeditation.com/hoo-pono-pono/" target="_blank"  title="Ho'o pono pono" target="_blank">Ho&#8217;o pono pono</a>. Releasing off all the negativity from all of your relationships. Allowing things to return to a positive state from which you can build more fulfilling and appropriate relationships.</p>
